OUR
PRIVACY POLICY
The Green Party
of Ohio recognizes that the sharing of information is a significant
issue confronting us today. The Green Party of Ohio is against censorship,
as it endangers democracy, but we are committed to protecting your
personal privacy.
We never
sell or rent your personal information to any person, organization,
or business. We
protect the confidentiality of any personal information you share
with us, unless we are required to report it by federal or state election
laws (the FEC and Ohio's
Secretary of State
require certain information of individuals who donate over $200 to
the party). We do not monitor individual traffic patterns on our website.
If you
choose to become a member of the Green Party of Ohio by registering
by mail or on the website, we post only your name, city, county, and
registration date on our website
membership list. We believe this to be a display of support. However,
you may opt out of this process by sending an email to webadmin@ohiogreens.org
specifically stating that you would still like to maintain membership
status but would like to be removed from the website membership list
only.
Party
Members may change their membership status at any time by emailing
REMOVE@ohiogreens.org or
web@ohiogreens.org and
communicating their desire to no longer be a member of the Green Party
of Ohio.
E-Newsletter
subscribers may change their status at any time by emailing UNSUBSCRIBE@ohiogreens.org
or the webadmin and
communicating their desire to unsubscribe from the newsletter. We
currently do not send the newsletter by postal mail.
If you need to correct or update the information you have provided
us, please send it in an email to webmaster@ohiogreens.org
or re-register on the website using your new information.
Members of the Green Party of Ohio can expect email and postal communication
such as fundraising letters and special announcements. New party members
may receive a phone call from the Green Party of Ohio, but at any
time can request not to be contacted by phone. Urgent messages may
be communicated to party members via phone, but such contact is rare.
Additionally, we may share membership information with an affiliated
local of the Green Party of Ohio, if applicable. Those who designate
themselves as willing to volunteer for the Green Party of Ohio can
expect phone, email, and postal communication, depending on the particular
campaign and their level of involvement. Ohioans who donate to the
Green Party of the United States may be added to the contact list
of the Green Party of Ohio.
If you have questions or comments about our privacy policy, we encourage
you to contact the webadmin@ohiogreens.org
or secretary@ohiogreens.org.
